  There may be times where a question needs to be updated based on customer feedback or poor testing results. In the event that a question differs from what is printed in the hard copy materials, customers should defer to the online question. • Do I have to take a test for Self-Study Videos?

• I’m ready to take my exam and have it graded for CPE credit. What do I need to do?

  Receiving your certificate of completion is fast and easy using our online testing and grading system. Just log in to your account and complete your exam. • Will my state board of accountancy accept webcast CPE credits?

  Western CPE is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a member of the Registry; as such, our CPE credits are accepted in all 50 states. However, CPE credits in different states may vary, so please check with your state board. New York and Texas require sponsors to individually register with their state as continuing education sponsors. • How do I access my webcast?

• How is my attendance confirmed during a webcast?

  To confirm your attendance, and in order to receive CPE credit for a webcast, you must interact with the attendance pop-ups. Once you’re signed in to the webcast, our attendance-monitoring system verifies participation during the webcast in the form of pop-ups. • When can I watch webcasts?

  Webcasts are available for viewing Monday - Saturday, 8am - 8pm ET. You may start the course whenever you are ready, but make sure you have enough time to finish before the 8PM EST deadline. If your webcast will not be completed by then; our platform will notify you that the "webcast is not available" and you must wait until the next day to start. A FlexCast membership allows you to start at any time and will pause your webcast automatically at closing.Some readers

• What kind of CPE credits will I receive?

  Webcasts provide group Internet-based CPE credits. NASBA fields of study (categories) for each webcast are listed in the Course Overview section. See the Compliance Information section of each webcast to learn the category under which credits are registered. • What are webcasts?

  Webcasts are an in-house developed, simulated classroom environment taught by industry experts. Customers can ask questions as they learn online, working their way through course segments of slides and video from their computer or other devices. Customers cannot rewind, fast forward, skip breaks, pause or exit the webcasts. If a customer exits the webcast, it will forfeit the time viewed and they will have to start back from the beginning, unless they have FlexCast.Few readers

• Can several people watch a webcast on the same computer?

  Several people can view a webcast as a group via a single computer and an LCD projector or a big-screen monitor, but they need to contact Western CPE’s Customer Care at (800) 822-4194 prior to the webcast to ensure all participants have registered for the webcast and have a designated proctor. Each participant must pay for the webcast in order to receive CPE credit. The designated proctor must be present during the webcast to verify participant attendance. • What happens if I fail a Webcast?

  “Failure” means you failed to verify your attendance 70% of the time, but individual state requirements may vary. If you fail a webcast due to missing attendance prompts, you will need to take the course over again. You may attempt a webcast as many times as you need, but it must be completed within one year of purchase to receive CPE credit.Few readers

• When will I receive my certificate of completion for a webcast?

  Your certificate of completion will be automatically generated and added to your account at the end of the webcast. • Will I be required to take an exam?

• Are exams required for Self-Study Videos?

  Self Study Videos courses allow customers to watch an archived version of our webcasts. Unlike webcasts, these can be accessed and completed 24/7 without attendance prompts and allows the customer to pause, rewind, fast forward and exit at anytime without having to forfeit credit hours.Few readers

• How does Self-Study Video work?

  A Self-Study Video is essentially a video uploaded onto your account that works similarly to a YouTube video. You may start and stop it at any time. The video will be in your account for 1 year from the purchase date, after which it will expire. You must pass the associated qualified assessment to earn CPE credits.Few readers

• I'm having trouble with my internet connection.

  We recommend you not use wireless connections when accessing webcasts through our system. Check all your cables, close all browser windows, and try again. If you’re still having difficulty, please contact your network administrator.Few readers

• I can’t hear the audio portion of the webcast. What’s wrong?

  First, make sure your computer has internal or external speakers. Once verified, check your volume settings. To check your computer volume, adjust the volume slider and make sure “mute” isn’t activated. You may also need to test your external computer speakers and adjust the volume settings on them.Few readers

• What does it mean if I hear an echo?

• The audio and video keep cutting out.

  Make sure you don’t have any other browsers or internet applications open, and that you have a sufficient, stable connection. • What is Flexcast?

  FlexCast is an add on membership that gives you the ability to pause any webcast and resume when you're ready. Your webcast progress will be saved and you may continue at a later point in time. FlexCast allows you to skip your ten-minute breaks, if desired. Webcasts with 2+ credits are divided into 50-minute segments. You may request partial credit for any Webcast in which you have completed at least one segment. FlexCast also offers a history of all asked questions from previous viewers sFew readers

• Are Western CPE’s self-study courses QAS approved?

  Yes, Western CPE is approved for the QAS self-study delivery method on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Since we’re approved for the QAS self-study delivery method, we’re no longer required to provide the three-digit QAS sponsor identification number.
