Do I have to take a test for Self-Study Videos?
Since this is considered a self-study course, you are required to pass a qualified assessment with a 70 percent or higher. Qualified assessments are 5 questions per CPE credit. Will my state board of accountancy accept webcast CPE credits?
Western CPE is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a member of the Registry; as such, our CPE credits are accepted in all 50 states. However, CPE credits in different states may vary, so please check with your state board. New York and Texas require sponsors to individually register with their state as continuing education sponsors. Several people can view a webcast as a group via a single computer and an LCD projector or a big-screen monitor, but they need to contact Western CPE’s Customer Care at (800) 822-4194 prior to the webcast to ensure all participants have registered for the webcast and have a designated proctor. I can’t hear the audio portion of the webcast. What’s wrong?
First, make sure your computer has internal or external speakers. Once verified, check your volume settings. To check your computer volume, adjust the volume slider and make sure “mute” isn’t activated. Qualified Assessment Results
When Customers do not receive their certificate because they did not pass their qualified assessment for a self-study or self-study video, they may call in to ask for the correct answers to the question(s) they answered incorrectly. We cannot give any customer this information until they earn their certificate. Webcasts are an in-house developed, simulated classroom environment taught by industry experts. They are considered live CPE due to having attendance prompts and a live moderator available to answer questions during our business hours. Unlike Self-Studies and Self-Study Videos, customers do not have to take a qualified assessment to receive credit.
